this is my new blog...

Hey, I'm Hailey. I feel obligated to do some sort of introduction...even though you probably already know me.
So...Hi. I'm Hailey...wait... I already said that.
I shall explicate my blog name: Living for His Glory... I will say, that i did not come up with this name, nor is it very original, or very profound. It's just simply what i am striving to do, and what i hope will be shown in my blog posts. I am continually trying to live for my Savior's glory.
I stayed up fairly late last night trying to think of a name...and i couldn't think of anything that really worked (or wasn't already taken by, like, 7 bazillion other people). But this morning, my dear mother suggested i name my blog Living for His Glory. So i did.
I don't really know what I'm going to write about... But considering the fact that Jesus is my everything, i might just write a little bit about Him... So if you don't share my love for Him, i think you should probably keep reading, and learn to love Him...or move on to another blog. :)
In case you didn't already know, my name is Hailey. I can't say this enough.  Because, you should know my name. I like my name. Its actually Hailey Jo. Everyone laughs when i say that my middle name is Jo...but if you say both names together, it kinda has a ring to it. Hailey Jo. Hailey Jo. Hailey Jo. See what i mean?
My dad named me while my mom was sleeping. They didn't even talk about it. He just thought it was cute. It actually means hay field...or something like that.
Moving on, I have an awesome family. I have two parents, just like... every other person on the planet. Except my parents, are superheroes. Well, not really. But they do amaze me on a daily basis. God has given both of them awesome skills. They are the best parents in the world.
I also have 4 siblings. They are 18, 7, 3, and 1. Those ages are subject to change. ;)
Here are their extremely short and very biased sibling profiles:
Cole, is my oldest brother. He's probably the coolest guy on the planet...with the possible exception of Chuck Norris.
Yonas, is my oldest, younger brother. He's from Ethiopia. Which automatically makes him pretty cool. His insane soccer skills and killer dance moves are just a bonus.
Ella, is my baby sister. She's a princess. She's from China and she is arguably the sweetest child that has ever lived.
Isaiah, is the cutest baby in the world. He's also from Ethiopia. He is a complete flirt.
 :)
Those are my siblings. I love them so much.
You might have noticed that 3 of the 7 individuals in my family are from different countries. It makes for interesting trips to the grocery store. I could go on and on about the strange comments and questions that people ask, but that's an entirely different blog post.
I love adoption. Our family has been through 3 very long, hard, emotionally draining adoptions, but we would go through it all over again just to see the faces of these kids when they first come home. Don't get me wrong, my siblings are amazing, and they bring me so much joy. But I went to China. I saw the sad faces of all the orphaned baby girls left behind. It kills me to think back and know that half of those babies will never have a family to call their own. I will advocate for adoption until the day i die. These kids need homes, and they are worth the hard process, the financial setbacks, the emotional roller coasters. They deserve a family to love them. No child should have to grow up without a mommy and daddy. Christians need to step up and live out James 1:27. Not everyone is called to actually adopt a child into their family, but we are all called to help the orphans, to pray for them, and to love them. I love everything about adoption, because i know that is what Christ did for me. He made me His child, adopted me into His family, and i am forever thankful for that. (John 14:18)... Oh, I'm done now. I'm just kinda sorta passionate about this subject. :)

I will conclude with just a few random things about me.
I like to write. I journal every day.
I am a homeschooleritized sophomore. I love learning.
I love fall. I love apple orchards.
I love my church. I love my friends.
I enjoy coffee. But I'm not addicted to it.
I love music. I sing all the time...ask my family.
I talk a lot.
I like blue and pink. But mostly blue. It reminds me of the ocean.
I love sunsets.

And now, finally, I am done. :)

In Christ alone,

Hailey Jo <3
