Hey,
It's been awhile. Well, right now you should know that i am very, very, sleep deprived. So basically that is a disclaimer...whatever is said in the following blog post that doesn't make any sense whatsoever just, like, ignore it. :)
So Saturday night, Cole and I went to our friend's concert down in the cities, and when i walked outside i almost fell flat on my face. Yeah, it was extremely icy. Everything was covered in ice, including the highways. When we got to the highway, the traffic was at a stand-still, so we just thought we would wait it out and hope that we could get home within a couple hours. Meanwhile, my amazing Mom and Dad were on Google maps watching the traffic...the entire city was completely paralyzed. No one was going anywhere anytime soon. So we decided to back track and go hang out with our friend at Perkins. 24 hour dining, oh yeah! Well, we ended up sleeping at a friend of our friend's house and getting back home in the morning.... 15 hours after we left...It was an exciting night. Not to mention the fact that the concert was amazing!!! Oh my goodness....i was blown away by the bands...they were awesome.
Now is the time of year where i begin to embrace my inner Minnesotan and enjoy the cold, ice, and snow. So, i am loving the snow..and maybe even the ice... come on, who doesn't love to be able to skate on their driveway? But the cold is taking a little getting used to...i just walked home from where i babysit and i definitely can't feel my legs.
Also, i have begun to sporadically listen to Christmas music. I know, i know, i'm not supposed to until after Thanksgiving...but we already started decorating our house, so i'm in the Christmas mood. Besides that, it just makes me happy.
Some of my favorite Christmas songs (besides the classics, of course) are.....
When Love Came Down, by Point of Grace
His Favorite Christmas Story, by Capital Lights
The Christmas song, by Owl City
12 Days of Christmas, by Relient K
This Christmas, by Tobymac
Christmas Song, by Flyleaf
Merry Christmas, by Third Day
Adoration, by Newsboys
All i really want for Christmas, by Steven Curtis Chapman
Where are you Christmas, by Faith Hill
Good songs. :)
So, now i'm going to make an effort to fight through the tiredness and do some school...
:) have a good day.
In Christ,
hailey♥

I should add that as your Mom.....you know...the cool one....I was up until 3 am praying for you both and making sure you were safe before I could finally go to bed. So, I am tired too. :) Love you and am so glad that the Lord took good care of you that night when I couldn't.
