Good Morning!
Today, i am going to construct a gingerbread house with Yonas and Ella. I think it will definitely be amazing....i might even post pictures if they aren't too embarrassing. :)
Last night, I went sledding with some very cool people. Just like the old days. It was fun.
I feel like I need to confess something. In the first post of this blog, i wrote a bunch of stuff to introduce me. I failed to mention on very important fact. I hate cats. Now, it's not just because they are annoying, or mean, or overly dramatic, but because they hate me. Its a mutual hatred.
But (here comes the confession) this weekend, I fell in love with two cats. They are my favorite things in the whole world. This is against all of my better judgment, but really, I love them.
These cats are my neighbor's cats. When he asked me to take care of his cats for the weekend, I was not thrilled about it. Because every other time that i have cat-sat, i really have not enjoyed it.
For example, there was Skittles. Skittles was a cat. Skittles was a girl-cat. Skittles was pregnant. Skittles liked her food. Skittles didn't like me. Skittles really liked her food. Skittles really didn't like me. Skittles scratched me whenever i tried to feed her. I ran away in fear of Skittles. I'm very bitter towards Skittles.
There are two possible lessons to be learned from that story.
(1) Skittles is not a normal word, and should not be used as a name for a cat, or (2) all cats are evil.
At the time, I was guilty of generalization and came to agree with the latter.
My opinion has changed.
Not ALL cats are stupid, evil, and/or planning my demise.
These two cats are the most beautiful, sweet, loving, cuddly, fluffy, little things I have ever seen in my whole life and I adore them. Their owners didn't tell me their names...So I named both of them Fluffy.
They made me happy. :)
Anyways, today I am thinking of all the things I have to be happy about.
Five things right off the top of my mind:
1. It's snowing, and it's beautiful.
2. Caitlin Elizabeth Lemmon is on Winter break.
3. My grandma gave me a mini coffee maker. It's cute.
4. The Christmas Song by Owl City
5. We get to celebrate the birth of my Lord and Savior Jesus Christ in five days.
I'm happy. I think you should be too.
Have an amazing day!
In Christ,
❤Hailey
